Heather & Lisa vs. The Lizard
July 4th, 2008We don’t live out in the country or anything, but our little suburban development sits just a few hundred yards from a large open space where all kinds of bugs and creatures can be found. Every once in a while they come down from the hill and pay us a visit. On a few special occasions, they even try to make themselves at home. The other day as Heather and Lisa were cleaning the family room in preparation to paint the walls, they came across a little friend that must have snuck in the back door while they were cleaning. I think he just wanted to get out of the sun. And thus ensued the battle of Heather & Lisa vs. the Lizard.

Alright …, give it up. Did lizard survive this battle or not? This seemed a little less like a battle and a little more like a “beat down” with two (maybe 3 if you count the guy hiding behind the camera) against one little unarmed lizard.

Ok, we’ve had some inquiries regarding the outcome of the great lizard battle. The truth is, the lizard won that great battle. He scurried down the vent never to be seen again (at least not recently). I am just hoping that we don’t start smelling anything “questionable” through the vents in the next couple of day.
Megan, if you can catch him you are more than welcome to have him and name him! I am sure your mom would love to add him to the small petting farm that you already have going on!

That is the funniest thing I have ever seen – well next to the bat in your bedroom or the spider behind the couch a few weeks ago. You did know lizards climb rather well didn’t you? We had a great laugh! Mom
